This was a very different Patrick’s Day than any I’ve ever remembered. Usually the day is full of hustle and bustle, festivities parades, drinks, parties etc. We were due to meet some friends down the country and had it booked since January which I was so looking forward to. In light of everything is happening, of course we cancelled all plans and stayed put as advised.
It still is a strange feeling and atmosphere around, but we should still be trying to make the most of our days and try to remain positive. Today we got up had restaurant quality breakfast/brunch (thanks to himself, I must admit the better chef of the two of us), cleaned, toured around Dun Laoghaire (where we live and my favourite place!), had a lovely walk (keeping our distance from everyone), more food, skyped friends and now planning to crack into a Jameson and Gingerale to cheers the day and deciding on a good movie to watch for the evening (admittedly it’s getting harder, we’ll have everything on Netflix watched in the next week!).
Overall a chilled, relaxing but also productive day. How was your Paddy’s Day? Comment below and let me know!
Thanks for reading,
Alwaysaisling
